Found busted coil in air handler getting landlords information to see if it’s covered under warranty. System is extremely short on return air which may have been the cause of the busted coil. Remove old and install new faucet provided by customer
Found evaporator coil frozen. Customer stated the there was an ongoing issue with the blower being intermittent, which will cause freezing. Found poor connection at control wire for blower which is likely the issue. I turned it on when I arrived and it came on. I switched the system to heat and thawed the coil. Found system heating properly after coil was thawed. Outdoor temperature is 50 degrees, making it difficult to get true refrigerant pressure. Explained that I would like to test pressure when conditions are more suitable, before I put a stamp of approval on it. Switched to cooling mode and system is cooling 17 degrees. Pressures seem low but ambient temperature makes it difficult to be accurate. Also the return plenum is undersized and return air is restricted, making pressures inaccurate. Explained to customer that if we have to return, would waive a diagnostic fee. There may be no more issues but I’m not confident.

Showed customer leak is definitely more present I was getting 99ppm extremely quick on my leak detector. System holds 7lbs last year in August we added 3lbs this time 4lbs leak has definitely gotten bigger over the last 2 years . Customer understands that it will continue to leak out quicker each time .

Felix came out on Christmas Eve right away and replaced my contactor. He recommended I change out a capacitor as well and showed and told me why. He was incredibly transperant with his services.
